I want to know, what you’re thinking. There are some things you can’t hide. I want to know what you’re feeling. Tell me what’s on your mind!
We’re all interested in having more energy, right? I mean, just read the Tweet (Twitter) stream and you’ll notice the “I’m tired” Tweets outnumber those that talk about “feeling great” by a count of 2 to 1. In fact, it’s exhausting just to read all the whining. Sorry, it’s true.
Since I turned 40 this year (yep, also true) I’ve been paying a lot more attention to my energy and the energy of others. It’s a pretty awesome thing. For example, my kids – ages 5 and 3 – have an exorbitant amount of energy every moment they are awake. Even when they are exhausted, they still have energy. It just presents itself in a different way such as whining or crying. When I run out of energy, I simply want to sit down. And not move. At all.
Another group of people I find have lots of surplus energy are successful entrepreneurs. So much, in fact, I picked up a few books to read about them. What I’ve found is that they are energized by a vision. Some of them talk about being able to see a finished product or service while many others talk about creating a certain life for themselves and their families. But almost all of them talk about working toward a goal and fighting through the roadblocks that are presented along the way. It other words, they are energized by achieving what they set out to do.
What energizes you? Tell me what’s on your mind!
Live Well!
